DISTRICT COURT, WAIMATE.
Feiday, Dec 5. (Before His Honor Judge Ward.) CIVIL. Trustee in Caldcr’s Estate v. H. Middleton—Claim, £7O, value of a Aragon seized by defendant under a bill of sale. Mr Tosswill appeared for plaintiff, and Mr White for defendant. Counsel for plaintiff agreed to accept a nonsuit owing to irregularities in bankruptcy proceedings. IN BANKEUBTCV. _ Re Wolsoy Allen, adjourned application for order of discharge. Mr White appeared for the bankrupt, and Mr Hawkins opposed on behalf of the creditors. The Act had not been complied with, in consequence, it was alleged, of the poverty of the debtor. His Honor said that however he might sympathise with the applicant, the Act was imperative, and the order could not be granted. I’EOBATE. An application by Mr Clement for letters of administration in favor of Jane Ballantync, in re the estate of Robert Ballantync. deceased, was granled. The Court then adjourned.
