Mails close at the Chief Post Oflice, Timaru for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under;— Tomorrow, Dec. 8. For Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, at 4 p.m. For Northern ports of New Zealand, pe Penguin, at 1.50 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, AA T est Indies, China, Japan via San Francisco, anti New South AVales and Queensland, per s.s. Penguin; at 1.20 p.m. Money orders and registered letters at 12.20 p.m. The European portion of the above mails will be due in London on Jan. 20, 1880. N.B.—The oflice at present known as AVaihi Bush will in future he called Woodbury. W. W. Beswick, Acting Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, Dec. 3, 1879.
