Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Tiinaru for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: —• Thursday, Dec 4. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Tararua, at 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. For Australian Colonies, per Rotomahara, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, West Indies, China, Japan via San Francisco, and New South Wales and Queensland, per s.s. Penguin, at 1.20 p.m. Money orders and registered letters at 12.20 p.m. The European portion of the above mails will be due in London on Jan. 20, 1880. N.B.—The office at present known as Waiki Bush will in future be called Woodbury. W. W. Beswick, Acting Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, Dec. 8, 1870.
