SIRE —Kilbowie is a pure-bred Clydesdale, rising eight years old, of splendid symmetry and action. He is by old Surprise, which was first as a two-year-old at Johnston Carrrbusling, Ac., and twice gained the prize for the best stallion at the Glasgow Society’s Shows to travel in the district. He also gained the Highland Society’s first prize at Inverness, and other prizes to travel as a stallion. Kilbowie's dam also gained many prizes. Kilbowie gained the firstatDrymen, as a two-year-old and first at Stirlingshire Shows. . Kilbowie was purchased from the well-known breeder, M. David Riddel, Kilbowie, and has been purchased by the Governor of late, at a high price. Pkjhohee —King of the Ring is a beautiful bay, rising five years and six months old by Kilbowie, bred by John Teethewie, Esq., and is one of the best grown colts of his age in the colonies ; he is a lino bay, standing 17 hands high, with immense bone and substance. His dam, Blossom, by Lincolnshire Hero, imported by E. (J. Kermode, Esq., was winner of eleven first prizes.
