DUNEDIN RACES. [By Teleoiiahi.] [EDOM OUK SPECIAL UEI’OKTEH.] FIRST DAY. DUNEDIN, Dec. 1. Tlic weather is fine, hut the course is rather heavy. The attendance is good. The following are the results of the events: — EE EE HANDICAP. Hon. W. Robinson’s Nuina, fist 121 b (Buddings) 1 Mr A. J. Keith’s b h Soukar, oyrs, 7st 41b (Harris) 2 Mr Oberon, oyrs, 7st 21b (Hastic) 3 Unknown, aged, (Ist 121 b (Allen) 0 Titania, Camballo, and Chancellor were scratched. Time: 1 min. 53f secs. Betting—Even on Soukar, 2 to 1 on the rest. Oberon led at the start, with the others in the following order: — Numa, Soulcar, Unknown, and Grace Darling. At the turn Soukar closed with Numa, and at the back of the course took second place, with Oberon, Numa, and Unknown following in company. Entering the straight Unknown fell off beaten, and Grace Darling was evidently ont of it. At the turn, on nearing the rails, Numa ran up and closed with Soukar, whe had drawn to the tore. Numa then drew away and won by a short length. Two lengths separated the second and third horses. ladies’ pubse.
