Wellington, Nov. 11. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The Legislative Council is expected to strike out the alteration made by the Lower House regarding the female franchise, giving women simply a vote as ratepayers when entitled to it, or that the qualification in the Eogulation of Elections Bill will be somewhat modified. Government is quite prepared to go on with the Eeadjustment of Ecprcsentation Bill if the House is prepared to give it that consideration without which the question cannot properly dealt with. HOUSE OP"EEPEESENTATIVES. Tuesday. Mr Oliver expects to be able to make the Public Works Statement next week, and some difficulty is anticipated in dealing with the question of finance and works,
