The next mail for the United Kingdom, Ac via San Francisco, will be close i at the Chief Post-odice, Timaru, on Saturday, Nov. 7lh, and will be due in London on . the 23rd Dec. >’ A receiving box has been erected at Halls, ■tore corners oE North and Bank streets which will be cleared at 8 30 a.ra. and 3.45 p.m. ‘ The receiving box at Cornish’s store corner of William street, and the Mam South Road will in future be cleared at 8 a. m. and 3.30 p.m N.B. receiving boxes are for the receipt of! letters only for Tima>u. N.B. —As Monday 10th November . (Prince of Wales Birthday) will be ob- " served as a Post office holiday, all mails usually despatched on Mondays will close »fc the Chief Post office on Saturday the Bth lost at 8 p.m. The delivery department will be open to the public, and correspondence usually , delivered by the letter carriers may also be obtained at the delivery counter.
