[To the Editor of''South Canterbury Times." Sir,—Referring to a letter under this heading, which appeared on Saturday last, I should like to know why those gentlemen were selected as judges and what qualifications they have for such a post. I think the judges should look more to the satisfaction given throughout the year than to a fancy specimen, and'men should he specially picked who are capable of doing this. With all duo deference, I don’t think the judges named possess this qualification. I am, &c., A Cook.
