WRECK OF THE “SABINE.”

The American brig 44 Sabine,” Capt. Barmore, with passengers from Sydney to California, was wrecked on the reef off Apia harbour, on the 26th of January last. The crew and passengers, numbering upwards of seventy, were all saved. The natives of Ap.a and a neighbouring war fort rendered ftreat assistance in saving life; but for them, many, it is thought, must have met with a watery grave. The British and American Consuls were on the spjf, and made immediate arrangements for the accommodation of the shipwrecked. Many of them left, on the sth of March, for Sydney, in the ship 44 Mazeppa ’ and schooner 44 Helen.”
