Gospel singer in Waiouru

Jules Riding, a New Zealand gospel singer of international standing, is to sing at Waiouru this Thursday. He has twice won gospel album of the year at the New Zealand music awards, has one gold album and has been a full time musician since 1988. Riding says sharing music for a living has been a far more rewarding and upbuilding experience, though more of an economic struggle, than his previous career as a primary school teacher, which he described as an "emotional and physical battlegrouiid". In concert, he shares a variety of material from folk and blues, to a host of sing-along song as well as poems, stories and portions of the Bible serto music. Contact the Waiouru Apostolic Family Church for concert details, Ph 06-387-6156.
