Great holiday planned for Waiouru kids

By

Anne

McElwain

With les&_than a week to go until the start of the July school holidays, the new community co-ordinator Jackie Hollis has developed an amazing holiday programme for Waiouru. The programme features activities from Monday to Thursday each week of the school holidays and should provide plenty of entertainment for all age groups. With a movie, bike and t-shirt decorating, games,

kite-making and body painting listed among the programme, there should be no-one complaining of boredom. Bus trips are also planned for each Thursday with the first one to Lollipops Playland in Palmerston North and the second to the Makino Aquatic Centre in Feilding. There is a small fee of 50c to help cover the cost of materials for most of the activities and the bus trip

cost is $2 for the entire day. Grants and donations meet most of the expenses associated with the programme. If any parents are also feeling bored during the school holidays, they are welcome to help out and join in the fun. Registrations are essential to make • sure that enough materials and/or seats are available for eaeh activity. Contact Jackie at Community House, phone 3876-111 ext 7918/7917.
