Snow gun glow sets off CD jitters
Ohakune Civil Defence and police were alerted by members of the public on Wednesday evening last week with a report of an unusual glow on the mountain. But it wasn't anything to cause vulcanologistic jitters, it was Turoa's snowmaking crew hard at work. The lights in the base area illuminated the plume thrown up by the snowmaking gun, causing the glow.
