Saturday saw a smaller field playing because of juniors competing at Rangitikei but there were still very exciting scores overall. It looks like golfing skills are being sharpened up with club championships starting on 6 July. Senior men: 1st Ken Crossan, Roarer of the Day, 43; 2nd Tom Spry, Mike Fraser, 39; 3rd Barry Drinkwater, 28. Junior men still good golfing, 1st Matt Mills, 42; 2nd Con Heinold, 41. Ladies: 1st Ann Spry, 43 (good one Ann); 2nd Nance Winter, Trish Mcllroy, Elaine Goldfinch, 35. Lucky number 17: Joyce Jasinski.
