Sports festival
The Ruapehu Sports Festival calendar for 1997-98 is out now, inserted into your Ruapehu Bulletin. It covers a wide range of events from pig hunting to school skiing, darts to endurance horse riding, snooker to shooting. Organiser Graeme Cosford asks that people hand spare copies on to friends outside the area, as the festival aims to promote the whole Ruapehu District.
