Matthews to Zimbabwe
Ruapehu hockey player Robyn Matthews has been named for the New Zealand Women' s Hockey team to play in the World Cup Qualifying Tournament to be played in Harere, Zimbabwe, in August. The team starts practise matches against Northern Territory, a presidents' XI and Auckland under- 18 boys team, this month. The New Zealand team must qualify in the top six at Zimbabwe to qualify for the World Cup in Holland in May 1998.
