Speech win for college

Ruapehu College pupils, Te Kawai Mareikura and Mindy Pakinga, along with a relati ve Rawiri Tinirau of Collegiate in Wanganui, took out all the awards at the Taranaki, Wanganui Ruapehu regional manu korero speech competitions held in Taihape last week. Te Kawai's topic "me pehea te reo e ora ai?" was delivered beautifully without a microphone to a large audiehce, in the junior English section spoke about "too many cousins". Her topic was both humorous and relevant. The national finals are to be held in August at Invercargill.
