Introducing Turoa's new marketeer

Turoa Ski Resort has appointed Jocelyn (Jos) McKenzie marketing co-ordinator responsible for the planning and implementation of Turoa's marketing strategies. She comes from an advertising and marketing background, most recently with McCann Erickson Advertising as an account director and has an MBA and diploma in marketing. In the past year she has worked closely with the New Zealand Ski Council and other industry members undertaking special research and marketing projects. The marketing co-ordinator position is newly created, the result of restructuring within Turoa's management team and involves all off-mountain marketing activities including media and industry liaison, advertising and promotional activity. "It' s going to be an interesting and challenging role with much of my time spent off the mountain and out in the market place working closely with other industry members to develop programmes that drive increased participation in snow sports," she says. She said Turoa plans an exciting range of activities and promotions and 1997 should prove to be a snow filled, E1 Nino winter.
