Kids out hunting

The Waimarino Pig Hunters Club held a two-day hunt fdr the district's kids at ANZAC weekend. "It's a good way of getting the children outside to experience the 'great outdoors', the bush and the surrounding area which we have at our finger tips," said club member Sarina Taylor. She said hunting adds to the excitement of going bush. There were 19 teams of two or more, including at least one adult club member, after pigs and possums. Every contestant who showed up at the weigh in received a prize. Organisers said thanks to the success of the hunt, they plan to repeat it later in the year. The club
