Ruapehu Tyre Centre

A 20 year dream came to fruition for Tony Tuhoro last week with the opening of his new Goodyear Tyre showroom and workshop in Ohakune, The Ruapehu Tyre Centre. Tony, who has operated a mobile fleet service with Goodyear for almost 12 months has, after extensive Goodyear training, moved into the new Clyde Street premises with the aim to expand on his domestic market of family tyres. He is keen to offer local residents a total tyre service at 'city' prices. "There will be no reason for people to go out of town for the best in tyre

prices and service" says Tony. He added that although there is already an existing tyre service in the town "we have been operating in the same region together this past year and nothing should change with our having a new

showroom...except there will be even better service and prices for the customers,/ Goodyear are a huge international company, employing over 400,000 people worldwide, with outlets throughout New Zealand, and as such have an extensive range of products and after sale service. Most popular is the free tyre insurance

for all new car tyres purchased. This includes a replacement option for damaged tyres, free puncture repairs, free wheel balance and alignment checks for the entire life of the tyres. Tony will still operate his mobile service for his rural customers and has employed local man Chris Shem to | assist in the workshop. Chris has tyre repair experience and is also familiar with motorbike and ATV tyres. As well as car and truck tyres, Tony will also be the local agent for Cycle Treads NZ, one of the largest motorcycle, ATV and mountain bike tyre importers in New Zealand. There is a small range of these tyres in stock or they can be made available by overnight couriers. Tony invites the local community to his I new workshop and is pleased to be able I to offer some genuine 'rock bottom' I prices in celebration of the opening.
