Rotorua draws 6 Waimarino runners Six runners from the Waimarino/W aiouru area wi 11 be at the starting line of the 33rd Fletcher Challenge Marathon on Saturday 3 May around the shores of Lake Rotorua, k The runners wiil be among a line-up of 2295 entrants, including 126 from around the world. The 42. 1 95km run continues to be New Zealand's ► biggest marathon, despite its reputation as the toughest in the country. Overseas entrants have been drawn from Japan, Australia, Germany, England, USA, Canada, India, Algeria and Morocco. Local entrants include: Josef Beyer-Rieger, Margie Dennehy, Stephen Hall and William White, Waiouru; Audrie McKenzie, Raetihi; Angus Malcolm, Ohakune.
