Twelve Waimarino war veterans led the ANZAC Day dawn parade to the memorial gates at the Raetihi Cemetery last Friday. The parade followed a service at the Waimarino Club, at which Rev Bob Peck presided with Major Bernie Grant from the Services Support Company, Waiouru, as guest speaker. She read extracts from a book of compiled writings by ANZAC soldiers who fought at Gallipoli.
