• On Tuesday a Kimbolton man was arrested for possession of cannabis when observed smoking cannabis outside a takeaway shop. • On Thursday a local man was arrested for assaulting his female partner. During the week police attended two other family violence incidents. However, no arrests resulted. • On Sunday evening two Gisborne men were arrested for the burglary of a house on SH4 near Horopito. An observant neighbour noticed the men and promptly reported it to the police. The men were found nearby. • Early Saturday morning a CD car stereo and speakers were stolen from a car in King Street, Raetihi.
