Change for art awards

The 19th annual Ohakune Art Awards, now the longest estab lished regional art awards in the country, will be held this year at a slightly later date. The opening of the exhibition, which offers a total of $5000 in prizes for work in oil, water colour and other media as well as an award for an overall winner, will take

place in Ohakune on Sunday 5 October. Schedules for the Ohakune Art Awards are available at public libraries, information centres or from the convenor of the awards, Ellen Gould, 47a Arawa Street, Ohakune. Entry is open to artists resident north "of Levin and south of Hamilton and includes Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and northern Wairarapa.
