• On Tuesday police recovered a stolen Mitsubishi GSR in the Mangatiti Valley. The car had been stolen in March this year from Wanganui. • A youth is being dealt with by Youth Aid after admitting to a burglary of a house in Clyde Street where alcohol was stolen. • A report of a prowler around the Piwari and Kaha Street area in Rangataua was received by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning. • There was one crash attended this week. This was on Wednesday when a car hit a power pole on Rangataua Road resulting in minor injury to the driver. • Overall the town has been quiet and police are pleased that the weather has not resulted in more crashes.
