Snow up top
Turoa reported a dusting of snow on their ski slopes last week, down to the base area — the first snowfall since January according to mountain operations manager Mike Bayens. He said the fall will lower the ground temperatures and "make future snowfalls stick". Periods of fine weather have enabled maintenance work to proceed and they expect to put chairs on the lifts in the next 10 days.
