NOTICE OF STOPPING OF A PORTION OF MIRO STREET, OHAKUNE Pursuant to the 10th Schedule of the Local Govemment Act 1974 notice is hereby given of the intention of the Ruapehu District Council to close a portion of Miro Street road reserve described below: That section of Miro Street being 196m2 commencing at Section 20 Block XX Town of Ohakune situated in Block V Karioi Wellington Survey District. In accordance with Section 345(2) of the Local Govemment Act 1974 the portion of road stopped wiil be required by Council to be amalgamated with Section 20 Block XX Town of Ohakune (CT30A/502). The portion of road described above and marked "A" on SO 37488 is no longer required. It is presently occupied by, and has been for an undetermined number of years, part of the lodge, car shed and garden principally located on Section 20 Block XX Township of Ohakune. The road closure will allow the legislation of the present occupation with respect to the lodge and buildings. The present formation of Rimu Street is to the south of area "A" and this area will not be required for future road realignment or upgrade. The survey plan of the portion of road to be stopped may be inspected at the Council Service Centres in Manuaute Street, Taumarunui, Miro Street, Ohakune and Duncan Street, Raetihi. Submissions for and against the proposal will close 20 May 1997. Any submissions must be received by the Ruapehu District Council before 4.00pm on that day.
