Sports festival plans
Work is under way to prepare the 1997 Ruapehu Sports Festival calendar, with an invitation now going to organisations to have their events included. The focus period for the festival will be September and October. Space is again available to promote events outside this period, said convenor Graeme Cosford. "As well as sport we welcome other events such as cultural, reunions, and A & P Shows," he said. Deadline for inclusion is 18 April, 1997.
