During the proposed period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road:Detour via Lakes Road and Pakihi Road. Proposed Roads to be closed are Raetihi-Ohakune Road between Old Mangarawa Road and Smiths Road for the period Saturday 5 April 1997 between the hours of 2.00pm and 5.00pm. In the event of adverse weather, the closure will be on Sunday 6 April 1997 between the hours of 2.00pm and 5.00pm. INORGANIC REFUSE COLLECTION The Ruapehu District Council wishes to advise residents of Ohakune, Raetihi and National Park that an inorganic refuse collection will take place in addition to the normal refuse collection on Monday 7 April 1997. Acceptable refuse includes fridges; stoves, coiled wire without batons and metal items which can be safely lifted by two persons. Garden refuse and vegetation will not be uplifted. All refuse is to be placed on the kerb by 7.30am.
