Waiouru School week is tops!

Waiouru Primary School promoted itself well with a full week of activities during its recent Primary Product Week. Starting with a hat parade on Monday, the children modelled a variety of exclusive headgear designed from recycled materials using the sun-sense theme. Tuesday's theme required the same budding artists to apply themselves to "pavement art" in and around Waiouru. The weather curtailed the sports plans on the Wednesday some'what but could not dampen the exploits of Thursday's storyteller, Nigel De Burca. Friday's shared lunch with the parents and "Expo" of art in the school hall provided a grand finale to the impressive efforts from children and teachers alike.
