Sheryl Wilson of Ruapehu Road received Ohakune's civic pride award from Ruapehu District Council deputy mayor Bob Peck at the annual dahlia show held in the Lion's Den last Saturday. Her prize is a cup together with a $50 Kunikraft gift voucher. The award is given to the best looking garden in Ohakune as viewed from the street. Other winners were Myra Crowley for best great decorative bloom and Lois McQuarrie for best small decorative bloom.
