Elections loom
The region's gamebird hunters and trout fishers have the opportunity to have a say in the running of their sport when the Taranaki Fish and Game Council elections are held on 8 April 1997. Adult whole-season licence holders who are registered on the electoral role will be able to cast a postal vote to elect candidates to 12 positions on the Council. Adult whole-season licence holders can also stand for Council, but they must record their candidacy with the Returning Officer by 5pm Friday 28 February 1997.
