Ohakune Masters badminton

First day of competition at the New Zealand Masters Games on Saturday 1 February saw Jocelyn and Colin Cranston picking up a bronze medal in the social grade, mixed doubles. This started the ball (shuttlecock) rolling for the doubles on Sunday when Colin teamed up with Tony Marumaru from Raetihi and took out the silver medal. Not to be outdone by the boys, Jocelyn bribed younger sister Kate Matthews (who by the way hasn' t played for 1 0 years) to play with her. Somehow they stumbled their way to a gold.
