High hay
Following up on another hay story, we've been informed that the hay that rained on Ohakune Monday last week came from a property near Lakes Road corner on Ohakune Raetihi Road. Another haymaker was finishing up in a paddock there when a mini-twister whistled up from nowhere and whipped up the leftovers way up into the sky, falling out in clumps on Ohakune about 20 minutes later. He'd never seen anything like it.
