• Waiouru Police attended a motor vehicle crash
at Mulvay's Corner on 23 January, where the driver of the vehicle received a minor cut. Police say the other occupants of the vehicle were spared injury because they were all wearing seatbelts. • Police were involved with the rescue of an injured tramper from the Kaimanawa State Forest on Saturday. The 59 year old man was airlifted by rescue helicopter and taken to Wanganui Hospital. • Waiouru Police assisted Ohakune Police with the arrest of three men for theft of stock from Karioi on 23 January. One appeared in the Ohakune District Court last week. • A 23-year old Waiouru woman was arrested on 1 4 J anuary for the theft of Carefree tampons, worth $5, from a shop in Waiouru. • A Waiouru youth was arrested for breaching his bail conditions and appeared in the T aumaranui District Court.
