Primary school prizes, 1996
The Orautoha School break-up is often like a big family party and again this year they followed the tradition. Father Christmas was there with gifts for the children; there were gifts made by the children for each family; gifts of appreciation were given to BoT members and staff, and speeches were short. Having a stage this year enhanced the pupil's concert which was well rehearsed and original. The backdrops were effective and the masks worn in some items were works of art.
