Citizen's award for Peck
Raetihi resident Bob Peck. was voted to be the recipient of the 1996 Waimarino Citizens Award. Mr Peck is currently deputy mayor of the Ruapehu District, has been mayor of Raetihi and has been a councillor for several years. He is also currently chairman of the Waimarino Home Trust and has worked hard and given
tirelessly to the community over a number of years in various other ways. Mr Peck was to be presented with the award at the mayor' s Christmas party for senior citizens to be held on Monday 16 December at the Waimarino Club in Raetihi. He was selected from nominees by the Waimarino Community Board at their meeting held on 5 December 1996.
