Burton is Labour's whip
Taupo MP Mark Burton is the opposition Labour Party's new senior whip. He replaces Jonathan Hunt, who chose to step down from the position. Mr Burton was among Labour's 1993 intake of MP's. He is the member of parliament for most of the Bulletin readership area, following the redrawing of electorate boundaries for the recent Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) . election. I
