Park walks brochure out

Taking a walk in the park is the focus of the Department of Conservation' s publication, 'Step Out', released last week. The brochure provides infOrmation on the guided walks and other activities that are part of the Tongariro Taupo Summer Programme. Although the programme is reduced from previous years, it retains the popular trips including the Tongariro Crossing, Crater climb, Ngauruhoe Summit and

Whakapapaiti headwaters. The brochure also contains advertisements from a number of commercial operators including accommodation, restaurants, tourist trips and others. As in previous years, DoC published the brochure with the help of the Ruapehu Bulletin. Copies are available from various outlets including information centres and Department of Conservation visitor centres.
