Seniors step out at cossie club
Like many chartered clubs around the country, the Raetihi Cosmo politan Club have turned on an annual Christmas treat for their senior citizens. As is the tradition, meat parcels are made up and distributed at the same time. An afternoon function was held last Wednesday, 27 November, in the club
rooms with about 60 seniors present. Staff and some volunteers gave of their time to wait on tables, serving afternoon tea and drinks. Mavis Fredricksen, a club member, made and iced this year's Christmas cake. Entertainment was provided by the local line dancing group, which includes some of the seniors themselves under the tuition of Ethne Carmichael.
