Touch rugby

Touch rugby kicked off to a great start last week with about 1 60 people turning up at Rochfort Park, making up 12 teams of 1014 each, plus spectators. The new activity is sponsored by the Raetihi Ohakune Rotary Club. The competition is open, with mixed teams playing half-hour games each ^ Thursday evening, starting at 5.30pm. Two games are played at once, each on half the field. Results: Teware Toa 1, Taihape 10; NBK 2, BOB 4; Tratez 5, Subzero 1; Hotsteppers 6, Touchtronics 3; Stingers 9, Misfits 0; Frew Gees 3, Rebels 2.
