More pay for Ruapehu councillors
Ruapehu councillors decided at their October meeting that they should be paid to attend workshop meetings in future. A workshop is defined as a meeting of councillors at which no resolutions or decisions are made. The council does not have to publicly notify such meetings and can (and does) exclude the media and the public.
