• A 22-year old Ohakune woman was apprehended shop-lifting from a Raetihi business. Enquiries are continuing with a view to charges being laid. • Police attended a fight at the Ruapehu Hotel on 27 October. By the time police arrived both parties had fled. • An 1 8-year old Raetihi man was arrested for an assault at the Hot Lava nightclub. He will be appearing in the Ohakune District Court. • Three youths were involved in a vehicle accident on State Highway 49 on 29 October. There were no injuries. • On Monday 28 October a Honda car parked in Miharo Street, Rangataua was broken into. • Police attended a domestic dispute at a Seddon St, Raetihi property. No offences were disclosed. • Three youths were involved in a vehicle accident 2km south of Raetihi on SH4 on Thursday 3 1 October. No injuries were reported, • A dictaphone being used by DoC to record short-tailed bats in Karioi Forest was stolen.
