INORGANIC REFUSE COLLECTION Ohakune, Raetihi and National Park The Ruapehu District Council wishes to advise residents of Ohakune, Raetihi and National Park that an inorganic refuse collection will take place in addition to the normal refuse collection on Monday 4 November 1996. Acceptable refuse includes fridges, stoves, coiled wire without batons and metal items which can be safely lifted by two persons. Garden refuse and vegetation will not be up lifted. All refuse is to be placed on the kerb by 7.30am. TOUR- WAIMARINO WARD The Mayor wishes to tour the Waimarino ward during the next month. PUBLIC NOTICES Horopito Access Road Entry to Tongariro National Park is again possible via the Horopito Access Road, now that'two new bridges are in place. Hunters, trampers and other users of this facility are reminded that this access road is a walking easement and, as such, permits are required for vehicles. They are also reminded that this easement crosses over Mr Brent Bishop's farm and that the normal courtesies should be shown to him and his family. Access permits are available from the Department of Conservation offices at Ohakune, Whakapapa and Turangi. Please read the conditions on the permit carefully and hunters are reminded that a hunting permit is also required and that firearms are not to be carried on the access road during the hours of darkness.
