Because of the uneven numbers of pairs attending bridge over the last few weeks play has consisted of a Howell movement with 20-22 boards. On 2 October John and Sandra Eades took an outright lead with 63.30% (69.38) and were closely followed by George Drayton and Mark Hays on 63.16% (56.88). Betty Hammond and Rita Kaiwhare scored 57.56% (57.50) to finish in third while winners for the evening, Ron Martin and Heather Cranston, finished fourth after relegation on 56.04% (63.75). Fifth place went to Doug and Tephany Bennetton53.15% (50.63). The results for 16 October were unavailable and will be published next week.
