Exhibition with zap

A unique interactive exhibition in which the public can participate opens in Ohakune this week. Electricity In Action comes to Ohakune following a successful three month show at Palmerston North's Science Centre and Manawatu Museum. The exhibition attracted over 13,000 people including a large number of school children. Electricity In Action is presented by King Country Energy Limited and will open to the public and school groups from 15-18 October in the empty store next to the Ohakune Photo Pharmacy in Goldfinch St, Ohakune. It features around 15 interactive exhibits and is suitable for all ages. Visitors to the exhibition can use a variety of displays, from solar power to a 20,000 volt plasma ball. They can also find out the difference between

AC and DC currents, and operate a Jacobs Ladder which produces ozone by high electrical voltage arcing. Bruce Clow, Marketing Manager for King Country Energy Limited said he was pleased that KCE had been able to obtain use of the displays.
