TKR moves in

The first half of the Te Aroha Te Kohanga Reo's relocatable building arrives at its Karamu Place, Ohakune, site. Having spent several months sorting out funding and council consents, physical work on the facility has now started. The preschool site was the subject of a town planning hearing to move the building there. An objection was received from a neighbour, who suggested the council do a land-swap so that it could be placed elsewhere. However, the planners pointed out that the matter of relocating the building was in question. The TKR could set up on the site as-of-right under the district plan.
