by Colin Brown, President of The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand National Housing Week is an annual event arranged by e Real Estate Institute of New Zealand to inform the jblic on various aspects of property and home ownerlip. This year, our theme takes a wider view of the roperty sector. 'Investing In Your Future' has never ■oved more timely. New Zealand has an ageing population. By the year OIO such a large proportion of the population will be :tiring the state will not be able to provide the same level f superannuation as in the past. For most New Zealanders, their home, and the equity it spresents, is the only form of saving they building up in leir working life. It is vitally important that people start to consider their lture retirement plans by investing in their future. During National Housing Week we are taking the mesage to New Zealanders about the importance of establishig investment patterns to safeguard their future. You can get further information from those real estate rms displaying the poster that indicates they are particiating in National Housing Week. Feel free to call in and sk for any help you may need.
