Rewards for Waiouru heroes
A very embarrassed but alive Waiouru lady has these five children to thank for their quick thinking a couple oi weeks ago when she was found unconscious and extremely hypothermic in the swamp at the end of Ruanui Street. Upon their discovery the children , aged between five and 10, ran to the nearest house to report their findandseek help. Local policeman Constable Dale Jenkins was impressed with the children's cairn response amt Canteen Services manager Linc Quinlan was only too pleased to help out with a reward. The children, pictured here with their goodies, are Joshua Radford(1 0), Andrew Campbell (10), Niketa Radford (8), Wiki Campbell (7) and Whare Campbell (5). The woman had to be flown by helicopter to Palmerston North and has made a full reeoverv.
