National Park?

• I wish to comment on Doug Bennett's comments as reported to a recent Community Board meeting: As a land-owner in the Crotons Road area, I am not aware of any land presently for sale, so unless you intend taking our land off us, your suggestion would not work. Are you aware of the costs of road closure? Gary Rawnsley could enlighten you on this point. National parks need access as well so you would still have a road maintenance problem. Doug, maybe you could offer your prqperty to the council for a national Park, being close to the main road. I'm sure it would be well received.
