Ragers hand over more Waiouru cash
Waiouru' s Mid-Winter Rage is just around the corner, and last week another $1000 raised through the event was pumped into the community. The latest round of beneficiaries included the Waiouru St John Ambulance ($500), the Apostolic Church youth group ($ 1 50), the Waiouru Community Van ($150), the Waiouru Scout Group ($ 1 00) and the Waiouru Girl Guides Association parent support group ($100). The fourth annual MidWinter Rage will be held 68 September and visitors can expect the usual entertainment of bike events, several bands, a tattoo competition andcraft stalls. Hot food and bar facilities are available and there will be a
bonfire on both nights. Saturday afternoon entry is free to locals (includes Waimarino and T aihape) and a gate entry of $ 1 0 will be charged for night-time activities. Pre-paid entries cost $20 that includes this year's Mid-Winter Rage year badge. The Mid-Winter Rage committee has made a commitment to financially support community groups
and so far $2000 has been donated. "The committee is pleased to be able to support the local people and we look forward to doing the same after this rage," committee member Maggie Vine said.
